Primary school
Primary education in Canada is divided into 6 grades. The curriculum consists of Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Physical Education, Arts education and Second Language Learning. In some provinces like Quebec French is the main language. At some schools students enrolled have the option to choose electives like Aboriginal studies, IT, Technology and Economics.
Secondary school
Just like Primary School, Secondary School is divided into 6 grades (7-12) and lasts 6 years. The curriculum consists of: English, Math, Science, History, Geography, Music, Visual Art of Drama, Conversational French, Physical Education and Business or Technology. From grade 9 students have the option to choose electives such as Family Studies, Business and marketing.Â
