What does the Education Support Package entail?

Our Education Support Package guides families through three critical phaes of relocation:

  1. (Pre-)departure support at three different levels (Economy, Business and Premium): so children are placed in the right schools from the start.
  2. Ongoing support: ensuring families remain confident and children stay on track academically.
  3. Return support: smoothing re-integration into the home education system when the assignment ends.

With the Education Support Package, families gain access to the secure MyEdufax portal, where all education information and documents are stored in one clear, organized place. This saves parents time, reduces stress, and gives employers surety that they have experts on the job.

Employers and families also receive a comprehensive report that outlines Edufax’s advice and potential risks – making it easier to choose the right school and avoid costly mismatches.

(Pre-)departure support: a smooth start abroad

The first step in our support is (pre-)departure support: guidance before the move. In this phase, we work with the family to assess the educational situation and wishes. What is the children’s background, what does their current education look like, and which educational environment best suits their learning needs?

A personal consultant analyses the situation, provides insight into the education system of the new country and discusses curriculum differences, admission requirements and practical considerations. Everything is clearly summarised in an Educational Mobility Report – a valuable document for both the family and the HR department.

Does the family already have a school in mind? Then we will work with them to determine whether this is a suitable choice and, if necessary, contact the school to inquire about available places, curriculum and admission requirements. If there is no preferred school yet, we will help select suitable options.

The three levels: Economy, Business or Premium

Departure support can be offered at three different levels – Economy, Business or Premium – depending on the family’s situation and the company’s wishes. Our goal remains the same, whatever the level: to prepare families for a new educational environment with confidence and peace of mind.

Ongoing support: support during the assignment

Deviations to the educational plan can continue to occur even after the assignment has begun. This requires a regular, expert eye; without it, families risk disruption that can ultimately affect the success of the assignment.

Throughout the assignment, we are available to provide ongoing support to families. We maintain regular contact to monitor progress at school, ensure the education continues to meet the child’s needs, and adjust plans when necessary. Topics such as academic progress, school choices, and maintaining the mother tongue are naturally addressed.

When questions or concerns arise, we step in with expertise—offering guidance, suggesting solutions, arranging educational tests, or assisting with school changes. Families find reassurance in knowing there is always a trusted partner in the background. At key moments, we take an active role: as a sparring partner for parents, a mediator with the school, or an advisor to HR and global mobility managers.

In this way, we provide peace of mind, continuity, and clarity—ensuring that both the child and the family feel supported, and the employer’s international assignment remains on track for success.
